Responsibilities
GOTOLATIN TRAVEL S.A., located on
Alfredo Barros Errazuriz 1954, Floor 8, Office 810, telephone +56 2 796 4645, acts solely as an intermediary agent for travelers.
Its function is to arrange services that airlines, hotels, operators,
cruise companies and/or any other independent firm provides.
GOTOLATIN TRAVEL S.A. does not control
these Businesses, and therefore, cannot be responsible for their
acts and omissions. At the same time, it does not assume responsibility
for injury, losses, accidents, damage, delays, inconveniences
or any other type of irregularity that may occur from defects
of any kind or through any situations of omission, carelessness
or negligence of any Company or person contracted by the same,
to fulfill or carry out any tourist service or part thereof presented
in this web site, such as resulting from acts of vandalism, strikes,
war, governmental actions, weather conditions, acts of God or
any other factors which imply additional expenses caused by delays,
itinerary changes or other causes.
GOTOLATIN TRAVEL S.A. reserves the
right to accept or reject any reservation request, coming from
any traveler, for any tour or tourist program, or to cancel or
change a tour or tour program, if the circumstances so merit.
The application for any kind of service requested of our Company
shall be understood as a consent to these conditions. Our Company
specializes in providing information for the travelers that choose
a country as their travel destination, whether it be for business,
education, special interest or simply pleasure. In the same manner,
we are legally authorized to exercise commerce as a Travel and
Advertising Agency. In the tourism environment we act as a center
for reservations and sales of hotel services, flights, tours,
transportation, cruises, and auto rental.
All prices indicated on the web site www.gotolatin.com are
subject to change without prior notice.
Methods of Payment
Our Company accepts three different methods of payment from
the customer in order to pay off the requested services
- Info-mediation
- Charging the customer's credit card
- Direct deposit from the Customer to the checking account
of the Company's bank with posts in Chile or New York, USA.
As Info-Mediator
In this case, we ask the traveler for his/her credit card information
as a guarantee of reservation. This does not mean that the card
will be charged, rather, the information is transferred to the
company lending the tourist service (accommodations, flight ticket,
cruise, tour or car rental) that the customer has selected, as
a way of guaranteeing reservation, this being the final entity
that charges the traveler for services rendered.
Credit Card Use
The Credit Card number is essential to process, guarantee or
pay for a reservation.
Charging the Customer´s Credit
Card or Direct Bank Deposit to the Checking Account
In the event that the reservation requires a prior payment,
the traveler will be notified beforehand and the card holder
will be asked to fill out an Application of Charge Authorization,
which must be signed and sent with the purpose of authorizing
GOTOLATIN TRAVEL S.A. to carry out the pertinent charge, for
the authorized sum.
Policies and General Fees for Cancellations
The Policies and "General" fees that are considered
for Cancellation of services granted through GOTOLATIN TRAVEL
S.A. are different for hotels, tours, cruises, car rental and
flights, therefore, said information is specified under the Terms
and Conditions of Reservations for each type of service. However,
there are Hotel Companies, Airlines, Operators, Cruiselines,
Transfer and Car Rental services that possess specific Cancellation
or Return Policies that are indicated once service is confirmed.

General Conditions
Once you have completed and sent the information requested on
our "Reservation Application", you will receive an
e-mail confirming those services, along with the hotel charge.
The e-mail called "Reservation Confirmation" will serve
as your voucher to be presented upon check-in at the hotel.
Current rates and conditions may vary without prior notice and
they are the sole responsibility of the hotel.
Reservations are managed by Gotolatin Travel S.A. in conjunction
with Chile-Hotels, a Chilean-North American group with offices

Credit Card Use
For guarantee services: As a guarantee
of reservation, the credit card number is essential in order
to process your reservation, according to the Hotel policies.
This information is only utilized to guarantee your reservation,
for which there is no charge whatsoever, and you pay the hotel
directly at the moment of check-out. The only two occasions in
which your credit card may be charged when using it to guarantee
the reservation are: 1) once you have reconfirmed the reservation
and you do not appear at the hotel, 2) you cancel the reservation
after the time stipulated by the hotel for cancellations. In
both cases, generally, the charge will correspond to 1 night
of accommodation, however, there are hotels that have different "no
show" policies, but that will be indicated to you at the moment
of reservation confirmation. When you receive the Confirmation
of services, it will indicate the maximum time you can cancel
the reservation without being charged.
For prepay services: Mostly hotels
request payment in advance. That means that the services
must be paid before the traveler appears at the hotel. These
cases are clearly indicated in the Notes of the Hotel information
with the phrase "prepaid condition". Therefore, your card will
be charged for the total amount of the reservation once it is
confirmed by the hotel. If the total amount of the reservation
is over US$ 150 a Credit Card Charge Authorization Form will
be requested to reconfirm the reservation. In any case, when
you receive the Confirmation Mail, you will be informed of the
date when the charge is made and the total amount to be charged.
Cancellations
Reservations made by info-mediator: In
general, the reservations can be canceled within a minimum of
2 "working" days, before arriving to the Hotel. There
are Hotels, however, that have different cancellation policies.
In these cases, you will be advised of the particular policies
of the hotel the minute of reservation confirmation. Remember,
if the traveler is not present at the hotel or does not cancel
the reservation within the minimum of days required by the hotel,
your credit card will be charged for the value corresponding
to 1 night of accommodation, as a minimum, of the total cost
of reservation.
Reservations by charging customer's credit
card or direct deposit to the bank checking account: The following
is a general scale of charges for cancellations made by the
traveler before the date of arrival to the hotel with prepay:

- There are specific policies and charges for vacation periods
for certain hotels.
- There is no refund for unused portions of hotel stays.
- We recommend considering Travel Insurance in case of possible

General Conditions
All services are subject to confirmation until receipt of payment.
The prices can vary without previous notice. Once the reservation
is confirmed, 50% of the price of the total services is required
for reconfirmation. The balance must be paid at least 45 days
before the departure date. If the program participant makes the
reservation request in less than 45 days before departure, 100%
of the price of the total services is required at the moment
of reservation confirmation. In the case of Tour Program reservations
with our Company, the following actions will take place:
1.- As info-mediator soliciting the traveler's credit card number
as guarantee of reservation. In this case, GOTOLATIN TRAVEL S.A.
will not make any charges whatsoever to the card holder, since
they only transfer the information from the customer to the operator
of the selected tour package. Generally, the operator is the
one who will ultimately charge the traveler for services.
2.- In the case that the reservation requires an advance payment,
the traveler will be notified beforehand and will be asked to
complete, sign, and send an Application of Charge Authorization,
with the purpose of authorizing GOTOLATIN TRAVEL S.A. to carry
out the pertinent charges for the authorized sum.
In both cases, the refund policies will agree with the rules
determined by each operator. Our Company promises to return to
the traveler the amount received by the operator within 7 days
following receipt of the refund for the tour requested by our
intermediary.
Cancellations
The following is a general scale of charges for cancellations
made by the traveler before the Tour departure date:

Use of Credit Card
The credit card number is essential in order to process the
reservation. The payment for reserved services is generally carried
out by charging the credit card. However, before the card can
be charged, you will receive an Application of Credit Card Charge
that you must complete, sign and send by fax to +56 2 796 4621
in order to authorize the charge of the specified amount.

Flights. Terms and Conditions of Sale
General Conditions
Once you have completed and sent in the information requested
by our "Reservation Application", you will receive
an e-mail confirming the service charges. All our services are
subject to confirmation until receipt of payment.
In order to issue plane tickets, GOTOLATIN TRAVEL S.A. must
charge the customer's credit card or the customer must make a
deposit in our bank checking account in Chile or New York, USA,
for the amount of requested ticket, plus the corresponding airline
tax. In this case, the traveler will be asked to complete an
Application of Charge Authorization, which must be signed and
sent, with the purpose of authorizing GOTOLATIN TRAVEL S.A. to
carry out the relevant charge for the authorized sum.
The current charges and conditions may vary without prior notice
and are the sole responsibility of the airline that offers the
services.
Cancellations
If once you have confirmed the reservation you wish to be refunded
the amount , the refund will take place according to the rules
of the Airline, considering the ticket and rate class. Our Company
promises to return to the traveler the amount received by the
operator within 7 days following receipt of the refund for the
tour requested by our intermediary.

Car Rental. Terms and Conditions of Sale
General Conditions
In the case of Car Rental reservations with our Company, the
following actions will take place:
1.- As info-mediator soliciting the traveler's credit card number
as guarantee of reservation. Our Company will not make any charges
whatsoever to the card holder, only transfer the information
from the customer to the operator of the selected tour package.
Generally, the operator is the one who will ultimately charge
the traveler for services. The refund policies vary among operators
and it is the responsibility of the program participant to inform
himself or herself of them.
2.- In the case that the reservation requires an advance payment,
the traveler will be notified beforehand and will be asked to
complete, sign, and send an Application of Charge Authorization,
with the purpose of authorizing GOTOLATIN TRAVEL S.A. to carry
out the pertinent charges for the authorized sum.
In both cases, the refund policies will agree with the rules
determined by each operator. Our Company promises to return to
the traveler the amount received by the operator within 7 days
following receipt of the refund for the tour requested by our
intermediary.
Cancellations
Cancellations of confirmed reservations and issued tickets are
regulated according to the class of the confirmed rate and airline.
These same conditions are indicated at the time of reservation
confirmation.
